Russia is the largest country in the world by area, and has the sixth largest population in the world. The Russian Confederation consists of a large number of federal entities. It is known for its cold winters, and harsh weather. It has only been conquered once in the winter, by the famous [[Mongol]] [[Ghengis-Khan]]. Hitler, Napoleon and many other famous military geniuses have tried to conquer it during the winter but all failed. Germany in [[World War I]] did declare peace with Russia in a treaty favorable to the Germans (often considered to be humiliating to Russia) at the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk, but did not actually conquer the country.
