A '''web browser''' is a program used to load and display web pages on the [[internet]].
Currently there are 5 main web browsers; Opera, Internet Explorer (IE), Firefox, Chrome, Safari. IE currently holds the largest market share in desktop browsing but this is being eroded by the independent browsers Opera and Firefox as well as Google's Chrome browser and Apple's Safari browser.
