::Article like this just need an introduction which assumes little or no previous knowledge. I know what [[potential energy]] is, because I studied physics - with the equations and everything. But most of our readers will have learned "science" as a collection of "facts". I doubt that one person in 100 has the foggiest idea of what potential energy is.
