'''Charles Gregg Singer''' (1910-March 22, 1999) was a professor of history and an ordained Presbyterian minister and ruling elder. He held a professorship at [[Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary]] from 1985 til his death in 1999. Earlier he had been a professor of history at Catawba College, Salisbury, N.C. He held a Ph.D. from the [[University of Pennsylvania]]. In the 1970's he played significant role in forming the [[Presbyterian Church of America]].
