== Plot ==
The film is presented as though it were a [[United Kingdom|British]] documentary (actually titled ''C.S.A.: The Confederate States of America'') being presented on a Confederate television network. The documentary is apparently controversial due to its disagreement with orthodox American views of American history, but is being shown in its entirety by popular demand. There are also short commercial breaks advertising racist products - some of which were real-life American products, including ''Darky Toothpaste''<ref>

The documentary segments detail the history of America from the [[American Civil War]] to the present day. The chief turning-point, however, is the [[Battle of Gettysburg]], which - thanks to the successful diplomacy of [[Judah P. Benjamin]] - includes [[United Kingdom|British]] and [[France|French]] troops fighting with the Confederacy. The Union later surrenders, and [[Abraham Lincoln]] is arrested after attempting to flee to [[Canada]] in blackface. After serving two years imprisonment, Lincoln is pardoned (in an effort to appease the conquered North) and is exiled to [[Canada]], where he dies of old age.

Meanwhile, [[Jefferson Davis]] brings the North into the Confederate way of life by introducing a tax on Northerners that is alleviated by the purchase of slaves, and is supported by a series of novelists who romanticize the events of the Civil War, ignoring the true events and focussing on tragic love stories between Northerners and Southerners. At the same time, an attempt to seperate the church from the state fails, and any non-Christian religions are outlawed in the CSA, although a small [[Judaism|Jewish]] community is permitted to settle on [[Long Island]].

Instead, the CSA launches an unprovoked attack on the [[Empire of Japan]], claiming that Japanese power endangered the CSA's position in the [[Pacific Ocean]]. By "[[Atomic Bomb|the grace of God]]", the war is quickly brought to a close, with Germano-Japanese defeat (the same outcome as our [[Second World War]]).
