==The Muslim Remarks==
 +
You guys realize Obama isn't Muslim right? It's not even disputed. Your reasons given are extremely trivial and are often taken out of context. If you want Conservapedia to be taken seriously as an educational resource, you need to remove the section that claims he is a Muslim because it isn't true. For example:
 +
 +
"Obama's middle name (Hussein) references Husayn, who was the grandson of Muhammad,[24] which most Christians would not retain" - This doesn't mean he is Muslim at all. He was just born with a traditional Kenyan name that has no bearing on his faith.
 +
 +
"On the campaign trail, Obama was reading "The Post-American World" by Fareed Zakaria,[32] which is written from a Muslim point-of-view.[33]" - So if you're not a Muslim, you're not allowed to read things from a Muslim perspective? Also, if you are Muslim, does that mean everything you read is from that perspective? No on both accounts, plus Zakaria writes for a famous magazine, Newsweek, and we can hardly blame our president for reading a news article.
 +
 +
"Contrary to Christianity, the Islamic doctrine of taqiyya encourages adherents to deny they are Muslim if it advances the cause of Islam." - This has nothing to do with Obama and also is doesn't make any sense.
 +
 +
"He has said that "Islam can be compatible with the modern world."[27]" - Yes, it can. America promotes freedom of religion, so any faith can be compatible with the modern world.
 +
 +
"Obama enjoyed a bigger increase in voter support in 2008 (compared to 2004) by Muslims than by any other voting group, including blacks;[38] "Muslim turnout in the U.S. elections reached 95 percent, the highest Muslim turnout in U.S. history."[39]" - Close to the same percentage of Jews voted for Obama as well. That doesn't make him Jewish and this statistic proves nothing about his personal faith.
 +
 +
"Obama used his Muslim middle name when sworn in as President.[42][43]" - Once again, the name is matter of cultural heritage, not faith.
 +
 +
"Obama tries to downplay his Islamic background by claiming that his Kenyan Muslim father was a "confirmed atheist" before Obama was born, but in fact less than 1% of Kenyans are atheists, agnostics, or non-religious.[51]" - His father was an athiest. Sure, you can throw out the statistic that less than 1% are atheists, but that just means that Obama's father happens to fall under that 1%. This shows nothing about him being Muslim.
 +
 +
It's general points like these that make Conservapedia look extremely biased to the average viewer and will probably alienate them or send them back to Wikipedia. I am not against your cause, but I am against completely false and exaggerated claims such as these. Please reconsider the Muslim section about Obama and just delete is so that Conservapedia can be viewed in a better light by the general reading public.
