The term '''Leftist''' refers to someone on the far left side of the [[political spectrum]], such as a [[socialist]], [[communist]] or particularly [[liberal]] member of the [[American]] [[Democratic Party]]thought there were many of the [[Republican Party]] though most of which resigened.  A '''leftist''' generally supports collectivism, more government control of the economy, less government control of social policy, lower [[military]] spending, censorship of religion in government, a more unisex society, and state-funded [[abortion]]. Basically, the leftists believe that everyone is equal, and should be treat as such, at least to a realistic degree. The extent of this beliefe varies along the scale. It's needless to say however, that these are good people, with nice ideals.
