The '''Australian Music Examinations Board''' or '''AMEB''' provides assessment and examinations for [[music]] students across [[Australia]]. The assessments are split into four main areas:
* Practical (performance and general knowledge of music notation)
* Musicianship (theory of music and aural testing)
* Theory of Music (theory only)
* Music Craft
The Board offers assessment in a wide range of musical instruments including, [[keyboard]]/[[piano]], strings, [[woodwind]], orchestral [[brass]], band and [[voice]].
Assessment and examinations are sectioned into grades of difficulty, usually first to eighth grade. Preparatory and preliminary examinations are offered for beginning musicians.
