Well, it's dificult to say. "ch" to Americans may mean the pronunciation of ch as in '''ch'''eder '''ch'''eese. The sound representation we want is for the Hebrew, light aspirated gutteral that in Semitic llnguistics is represented by an "H" with a dot under it - which I could not type in. It is the dot whioh distinguishes this letter from the English non gutteral H sound.
