The CPUSA has attached itself to far-leftwing [[liberal]]s of the [[Democratic party]]. Many people considers those leftist individuals in-the-mold of socialist principles, so it makes sense the CPUSA would support them. In the 2004 general election, they endorsed John Kerry for President.
