:::::I agree that an open-minded discussion is in order. The more I look, the more I am suspect of what we're being told. According to [http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&ct=res&cd=1&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ncjrs.gov%2Fpdffiles%2F165476.pdf&ei=CtZQSvjdNNOVtgfL-LCqBA&rct=j&q=inurl%3A%2F.gov+%22defensive+gun+use%22&usg=AFQjCNH0iN7ESTCMDk9QUtMYM2BSC26UCQ&sig2=2-11VW6gbOtx9TqgHn9GIA this] report by the US Department of Justice, many surveys "overestimate the frequency with which firearms were used by private citizens to de-fend against criminal attack". However, this report was conducted during the liberal administration of Bill Clinton, so it may very well be riddled with bias. [[User:JennaK|JennaK]] 12:40, 5 July 2009 (EDT)
