The Bible clearly teaches us that our lives are sacred and God-given, and that to deliberately end them is to accept Hell in the after-life. Yet we are also taught that we should not pass our suffering on to others, which liberals will doubtless suggest occurs when a terminally ill individual is causing emotional trauma to loved ones. If a suicide (or assisted suicide) attempt fails, should the individual be charged with attempted murder? Should this apply at all times, or on a case by case basis? I am concerned about this issue because assisted suicide clinics are becoming more and more widespread, especially in liberal Europe. How long before Obama attempts to pass legislation legalizing them in the USA? Why stop at killing unborn children when you can cull the elderly and the sick? Thoughts?
