a start in describing this partial internet approach
The '''NET Bible''' is a translation by 20 self-described scholars that is being made freely available on the [[internet]] for use, discussion and debate. It provides a rich source of commentary by the translators,<ref>There are now 60,932 translator's notes, up from 60,237 - There is no other Bible anywhere with translator's notes like those in the NET BIBLE. They are so much more than traditional study notes.</ref> and it brings out new versions in a manner similar to new versions of software.
