largest online public school in PA - over 9000 students

The '''Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School''' ("PA Cyber") is an entirely online public school open to any resident of [[Pennsylvania]]. Like other public schools, its teachers are state-certified and its tuition is free to students, but unlike public schools, education is entirely at home.

It has been growing rapidly in enrolled students, at a rate of greater than 20% per year. It celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2010 with enrollment in excess of 9,000 students.<ref>http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/trombetta-charter-schools-pushing-public-education-to-tipping-point-70648862.html</ref> Its founder, Dr. Nick Trombetta, also helped establish the National Network of Digital Schools.<ref>http://www.nndsonline.org/</ref>
