The Old order Mennonites choose to shun themselves from the outside mainly becuase they believe the technology that we use has been created by the devil and it is pure evil although there have been times when these groups have used technology such as when there is an emergency they will phone for help. Some of these communities also do not meet in churches rather in homes. Funerals are also quite different they dress in all white as if they were angels read from the Ordung, proceed to recite the lord's prayer and then gather in a home where they pray for many hours for the deceased persons soul.
