I've done a little reading on the subject. What was in the page before was parody. The stuff about processor speed and power usage was baloney. A Turing machine is an abstract concept or "thought experiment", rather like Einstein's elevator or Schrodinger's cat. Discussing its power consumption is akin to discussing the color of Schrodinger's cat.
I have removed the bad stuff, but the article really needs attention from someone who is knowledgeable about computer science. [[User:SaraT|SaraT]] 21:19, 2 December 2009 (EST)
