::::Jacob, my reply above was to your original request to use the original ''Greek'' but it also answers your revised question. Two further points: (1) the Bible translation project isn't going to get very far if you insist that editors must be able to read the original Hebrew (let alone Aramaic, for the later parts of the OT and much of the NT) and (2) the translators of the Jerusalem Bible did the hard work of producing an accurate, highly literal translation from a compilation of the best available texts in all three biblical languages into French and thence English.
