Lentils are an important food crop

Lentils are one of the oldest known food crops. With production begining the in middle east 8,500 years ago and migrating swiftly to the Mediterranean, Europe, and Asia. Lentils are a pulse, being produced on plants that grow fro 12 to 24 inches in height.
