I've got some beef with the notion that Theology relies heavily upon logic. While Aquinas and St. Anselm both use arguments to prove the existence of God, Aquinas is more focused upon what these arguments can do for his development of a theology centred upon the human person. The use of logic fades quickly as one enters the modern period, and is largely absent in the majority of protestant theologians in the twentieth century. It is largely replaced with a doctrine that is much more tenable to the position of a person of faith, namely an absolute faith in the radical existence and revelation of JC--a doctrine clearly present in HR Niebuhr, Barth, and Bonhoeffer to name a few.
