Changes

The California Law Office Study Program is a pathway to admission to the Bar in California. Instead of going to law school, applicants read law under the supervision of a judge or attorney for four years. This is actually the oldest way to become a lawyer in the United States, and was for many years the only way to be admitted to the bar. As a result of the liberal [[American Bar Association]]'s lobbying, most states have eliminated this pathway in favor of graduation from a ABA approved law school. California's program is one of only eight in the entire US.
