:::::::This will be the last post I'll make on the subject, as we seem to be going in circles now.  First, the fact remains that regardless of Bethe's expertise, he was an important critic of SDI at the time, and thus including him in a discussion of criticisms of SDI makes perfect sense.  For example, on an article about the War in Vietnam, I would expect a criticism section to include Jane Fonda, not because she was a general or an expert on Vietnam, but because he critical stance was important and controversial at the time.
