Roustan or Rustam was the nickname for [[Napoleon Bonaparte]]'s most famous bodyguard, whose real name was Rostom Raza. He was a [[Mamluk]] from Egypt, and was probably of Georgian and/or Armenian descent.

Like other [[Mamluk]]s, Routsan was kidnapped as a child to become a slave soldier. He was later sold as a slave in Cairo. In 1798 he was presented a young slave to General Napoleon Bonaparte in 1798, for whom Roustan served as his bodyguard until 1814. He then married and did not follow Napoleon to his exile to [[Elba]].
