:::::::::The whole issue isn't a political issue, it's a sports issue. The current government's ideology is a factor but it is minor compared to other factors such as how much money is being put into the athletes and also what kinds of sports are popular in the culture they hail from. If anyone should be getting praise first it should be the athletes THEN the country in that order. I don't know why Canada gets shoe horned into the description of being 'socialist' alongside some very distasteful regimes. Canadians don't hate America as well. We're different and we don't always see eye to eye but we have helped each other in the past and will continue to do so.--[[User:Composer|Composer]] 19:45, 28 February 2010 (EST)
