From the article, in the ''Alcohol and Islam'' section: "''Consumption of alcohol is banned in several countries including Iran and Saudi Arabia, in similar fashion to "dry" counties in the United States''". Could anyone expand in the article about these "dry counties"? Is alcohol prohibited in some places in the US? Maybe I should move there! "Too much alcohol results in intoxication or drunkenness (even death), impairment of speech, and aggressive outbursts that verge on violence."
While it's true that some people are violent after ingesting alcoholic drinks (so-called mean drunks), it cannot be generalized. Since ethanol is a depressant, it can have quite the opposite effect.
