I know, that large parts of the GFR/West German New Left received cash from the GDR and that the German terrorists (both the Berlin June2nd and the RAF) did from some point in time have good connections to the East German Stasi, but I cannot yet see the various Japanese Red Armies or even the Black Panthers getting hugh sums of Russian cash. :::You are correct, we'll fix the error. WUO was avowedly Maoist and broke with Soviet/CPUSA sponsorship in June 1969 at the SDS convention. There is evidence, however that the storefront Dr. Quentin Young rented during the DNC riots in 1968, to aid SDS rioters organized by Ayers, was paid for by the KGB.
