==Bowing==

"Never before in the history of the U.S. has a president displayed such shocking deference to a foreign official and Obama has not bowed to any other royal leaders."

As for the first half of that sentence, I personally found this picture of Nixon bowing to Emperor Hirohito to be way more shocking, since Hirohito was the one who ordered the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the most catastrophic attack on American soil in the 20th century: [http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/redeye-royalty/bow.jpg]  This picture of Dwight D. Eisenhower, staunch Republican and war hero, bowing to the president of France doesn't make me feel too good either: [http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/redeye-royalty/2009-11-17-Obamabow1.jpg]

As for the second half, Obama has indeed bowed deeply to the emperor of Japan: [http://nwasianweekly.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/28_48/editorial.jpg]  So that's wrong.  Although I'd probably crouch or something if I was around that little guy to, just to make it less awkward. --[[User:PZF02006|PZF02006]] 22:01, 20 April 2010 (EDT)
