I was wondering if anyone here (I imagine you have all put some effort into the research and sourcing for this article) had ever heard trustworthy sources, blogs, or essays dealing with such a belief. I obviously don't support the endorsement of wingnut theories, but if it is a more widespread belief among self-avowed Republicans and conservatives, then I think it bears mentioning. I wait to see if any such evidence exists. [[User:MICasey|MICasey]] 10:48, 9 September 2009 (EDT)

You people say gay people are out to destroy family values, what about politicians who are purportedly strong supporters of family values and make a point of it during their campaign trails then are found later hiring prostitutes and committing adultery. The problem with this site is it labels everything in the world as conservative or liberal. If it's not white, it's black. There are shades of gray too! The problem I think with both Conservatives and Liberals is confirmation bias, both sides only feel like admitting and owning up to what they think is right and justified while disregarding evidence against it. I know this site is from a conservative POV, but when you guys have pages dedicated to liberal agendas and liberal bias and so forth and have nothing about the flaws of conservatism. Conservatism isn't perfect, and I know this isn't a neutral POV wiki but it would make conservatives seem a lot less haughty if you dedicated pages where you admit your own flaws. Even wikipedia which is considered to be 'liberal' has self-deprecating pages. Most countries hate America not because of it's liberals but because of its conservatives. Conservatives need to face facts that there homosexuals everywhere and they won't ever go away, it's a mindset, it's been around for thousands of years in EVERY culture, it's an unshakable foundation to most gays and usually don't just stop being gay without severe psychological reconditioning. It's probably just as hard to turn a gay man straight than it is to turn a straight man gay. I don't identify as liberal or conservative specifically but rather mix constructs of each. Conservatives view Liberals as self-contradicting but then there are Conservatives who are for saving unborn children but are for going to war. How can you be pro-life but also pro-war. I can already predict the retaliation I'm going to get from this blahblahblah liberal propaganda, but guess what every side has propaganda. No one on this level of existence has absolute truth. Humans are not infallable and to to think any one way of human thinking is correct and others are wrong is ridiculous. Christians feel their God is the one true God and everyone who doesn't redeem themselves before Christ will burn in hell, while Hindus think their Gods. No one has the right answer and to walk around smug and haughtily thinking you're right and others are wrong is foolish. Conservatives by definition rely on sustaining traditional values, how can anything new occur if we all dwell on past traditions.
