Different groups have different views on creation. [[Young Earth creationists]] take the Genesis creation account literally and believe that over six 24-hour days, God separately created each different aspect of creation mentioned ([[Earth]], [[sun]] and [[moon]], plants, etc.). They also consider the list of [[patriarch]]s in the [[Bible]] to be generally accurate, without missing lists or gaps, and so they consider the earth to be 6000 years old, thus “Young Earth.”

They include "progressive creationists", who reject evolution and instead believe that God progressively created over the millions of years believed by evolutionists.
