Bushido: the way of the samurai
The Japanese code named after the 'Bushi'.
The Japanese code of honor named after the 'Bushi'or Samurai. It was a way of life for the them, more than just a code. it had several rules to live by:
• 義 – Gi – Morality
• 勇 – Yū – Courage in battle
• 仁 – Jin – Benevolence towards all
• 礼 – Rei – Respect to ones elders
• 誠 – Makoto or 信 - Shin– Honesty in all matters
• 名誉 – Meiyo – Honor or Glory
• 忠義 – Chū – Loyalty to ones Shogun
The lifestyle of the bushi thrived until the late 1800's.
