The term "Kiss of Death" clearly originated earlier than 1943, as the article would suggest, as there was [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiss_of_Death_%281916_film%29|a 1916 film by that name].  In fact, I'm not convinced this was the origin of the term, which has probably been in use since Judas' betrayal. : Your link to Wikipedia is broken, and the movie was probably a literal rather than figurative use of the word.  Merriam-Webster gives a date of 1943.--[[User:Aschlafly|Andy Schlafly]] 00:24, 15 July 2010 (EDT)

== Hollywood Values : Google hits ==
 +
 +
The article states that there are more than 800.000 Google hits for Hollywood values. I just wanted to point out that this applies only if you search for the term UNQUOTED, which is not always a good thing - as you also get results in which the words "Hollywood" and "values" appear in the same paragraph, regardless of whether they are associated or not. For example, you can find several articles about house VALUES in Hollywood, CA, or even in Hollywood, FL. Other articles debate about the "artistic value" of one or another Hollywood movie.
 +
A more precise search for "Hollywood Values", QUOTED, yields about 7,500 results, but this is probably much lower than the actual incidence of the word - as phrases such as "Hollywood and its values" or "the values of Hollywood" would be excluded.
 +
In short, the actual number is somewhere in between 800,000 and 7,500, and we have no way of knowing it for certain. As such, I think that it would probably be best not to speak about "Google Hits", or at least, not to give an exact number, as there is no way of doing it without gross inaccuracies.
 +
By the way, I found an article that states that the term "Hollywood Values" was created by ''Times'' columnist Maureen Dowd; this might be worth a look. http://www.aft.org/newspubs/periodicals/ae/fall2007/sewall.cfm
