::I think perhaps the term does have value beyond name-calling; I can't, offhand, think of another word that expresses precisely the same concept. "Charlatan" and "fraud" are more general, whereas "quack" immediately conveys the information that we're talking specifically about a medical charlatan. --[[User:Benp|Benp]] 12:47, 19 July 2010 (EDT)
