FYI, a Darwin quote about the origin of life in the ''Origin of Species'' (1st Ed.) was: "having been originally breathed into a few forms or into one" (compare Genesis 2:7 (KJV) "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."). Evolution as "descent with modification" thus does not explicitly require abiogenesis any more than a chemistry experiment involving a rusting nail requires you to know where the iron in the universe originally came from. -- [[User:Limulus|Limulus]] 15:46, 17 August 2010 (EDT)
