The '''Pine Ridge Indian Reservation''' is a [[Sioux]] Indian [[reservation]] located in southwest [[South Dakota]].
The reservation is the home of the Oglala band of Lakota Sioux, and is the second largest Native American reservation in the country.
It is a remnant of the Great Sioux Reservation that was established by the [[Fort Laramie Treaty]] in 1868.
