Conservative Studies as a pop culture term was first popularized by Rush Limbaugh's fictitious "Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies".  The formal academic field of Conservative Studies was first pioneered by Dr. Judd Patton in a Seminar in Advanced Conservative Studies at Bellevue University.  The [http://www.conservativestudies.org Conservative Studies] organization and activist movement were founded by Danny Oliver.
