[[Category:Movies about high school]]
'''Mean Girls''' is a [[movie]] about Cady, a [[homeschool]]ed teen raised in [[Africa]] by scientist [[parent]]s, who nearly loses herself in the social jungle of a real American high school. The screenplay, based on Rosalind Wiseman's ''Queen Bees and Wannabes'', was by Tina Fey, who also plays Cady's math teacher. The premise of the film is that school social life is ruled by The Plastics, a clique of three wealthy girls. When Cady enrolls, a girl who had been victimized by the leader of the Plastics gets Cady to infiltrate the clique.
