Landfills, among other disposal facilities, are often operated in a [[socialist]] fashion. In many regions, property owners must pay for garbage collection and landfilling as part of their property tax even if they don't put anything out to the curb. [[Environmentalist|Environmentalists]] and other critics frequently complain about landfills, among other reasons because they do not facilitate the decomposition of waste. Critics advocate [[composting]] and [[recycling]] as alternatives, as far as organic and recyclable waste is concerned. Some critics advocate waste incineration, as well excoriating waste in general. Ironically, many of the [[liberal]] environmentalists that oppose landfills (which are a form of [[socialism]]) support [[Obamacare|socialist medicine]].
