Jarvis Green was drafted in the forth round of the [[2002 NFL Draft]] by the [[New England Patriots]]. In his rookie season he started 5 games and played in 14. He recorded his first NFL sack in week one of the 2002 season on [[Monday Night Football]] when he sacked [[Pittsburgh Steelers]] quarterback [[Kordell Stewart]]. The hit caused Stewart to fumble the football and it was recovered by the Patriots... He finished his rookie season with 21 tackles and 2.5 sacks. In 2003 and 2004, Green played in every one of the Patriots regular and postseason games with the Patriots (including 13 starts). His best game during those years came in the [[2003 AFC Championship]] game vs the [[Indianapolis Colts]] when he sacked Colts quarterback [[Peyton Manning]] 3 times in a Patriots victory... The 2005 season saw Green set a personal career high for tackles in a season (36) as he became a effective run stopper on the New England defensive line.
