The '''Graeae''' or "Old Grey Ones" in [[Greek mythology]] were the daughters of [[Phorcys]] and [[Ceto]], who were born as old women and continued to age thereafter. They were both the sisters, and guardians of the [[Gorgon]]s.
The three sisters, named Enyo (Horror), Deino (Dread) and Pemphredo (Alarm) shared a single eye and tooth between them, but the eye was stolen and later thrown into Lake Triton by [[Perseus]]. <ref>[http://www.in2greece.com/english/historymyth/mythology/names/graeae.htm]</ref>
