Trump is apparently [[presidential election 2012|running for president in 2012]] as  a [[Republican]].  He is the only candidate questioning the citizenship of [[Barack Obama]] and his failure to produce his birth certificate.  There has not yet been much public discussion of Trump's [[faith]], but he may have converted to an evangelical church a few years, and that could help him in heavily evangelical [[Iowa]].
