Bin Laden was cited by the United States government as the most wanted terrorist.

Bin Laden was killed in a mansion outside Abbottabad, a highland town 50 km. north of Islamabad, capital of [[Pakistan]]. Facial recognition as well as DNA evidence, which was analyzed in a speedy fashion, confirmed the identity of the man killed as Bin Laden. He was later buried at sea, less than a day after his death; a burial at sea leaves no definitive location and no further proves.
