'''Charles Atlas''' (October 30, 1892 – December 23, 1972), born Angelino Siciliano in Acri, in Calabria, [[Italy]], was one of the most popular musclemen of all time. Atlas learned the exercises that were later called Dynamic Tension from [[Alois P. Swoboda]].
His advertisement:
"THE WORLD´S MOST PERFECTLY DEVELOPED MAN"
as well as the "Mac" advertisement (Mac is transformed from a "scrawny boy" into a "muscular man") has been characterized as one of the greatest advertisements of all time. Charles Atlas's popularity grew throughout the 20th century.
