'''Maria Shriver''' (b. 1955) is a journalist and author. She is the wife of actor and former [[California]] Governor [[Arnold Schwarzenegger]]. Her father, [[Sargent Shriver]], was the US ambassador to [[France]], and a founder of the [[Peace Corps]]. Maria's mother, [[Eunice Kennedy Shriver]], was the sister of US President [[John F. Kennedy]], US Attorney General [[Robert Kennedy]], and Senator [[Ted Kennedy]]. Ms Shriver was a broadcast journalist for [[CBS]] and [[NBC]] before taking a leave of absence when her husband was elected governor, in 2003. She is the author of six books: ''Ten Things I Wish I'd Known Before I Went Out Into The Real World'' (2000); ''What's Wrong With Timmy?'' (2001); ''What's Happening to Grandpa? ''(2004); ''And One More Thing Before You Go....'' (2005); ''What's Heaven?'' (2007); and ''Just Who Will You Be?'' (2008). As of May 2011, Maria Shriver and her husband are separated.
