Any sysop who feels capable of providing such guidance may try sheparding or mentoring such a user. You should interaction with user and polite warnings, if necessary. Direct the newbie to the appropriate Guideline page or clause that deals with the problem. If necessary, you impose editing restrictions, undo useless work, [[userfy]] inadequate articles, or try short blocks.
