Ezekiel 26:7-14 states that Tyre was to be destroyed and never to be rebuilt. However, Tyre still remains in the same location it has always historically been, situated in modern day Lebanon <ref>http://www.sacred-destinations.com/lebanon/tyre.htm</ref>. However, many biblical scholars claim the modern city of Tyre was purposely founded by non-christian secularists in attempt to try and undermine the truth of the biblical prophecies.
