:Hi Karajou -- yes, that's from the same piece (and Andreas Scholl is one of the finest living interpreters of that part, in my opinion).  Stunning.  Thanks, I needed to hear that!  Here's a link to a performance of the ''gratias agimus tibi'' (Karl Richter -- modern instruments): [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-xz0UJ2BUQ] ("We give Thee thanks for thy great glory").  I can still remember the experience of my hair standing on end, as a teenager, listening for the first time to sublime music by a man who loved God and meant it.  The piece builds and builds; it's a perfect curve with a big entrance right at the [[Golden_Ratio|golden mean]].  Incredible.
