The '''Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction''', often referred to as a '''Super Congress''' is a group that will be appointed per the July 2011 [[debt ceiling]] legislation that will consist of six [[Republican]]s and six [[Democrat]]s to suggest an additional one to two trillion dollars in cuts. The Congressmen will be appointed by the Congressional Majority and Minority leaders [[Harry Reid]] and [[Mitch McConnell]], [[John Boehner]] and [[Nancy Pelosi]].
