I am 53 and have lived in southwest Arkansas all my life. I've been married 17 years and have four grown stepchildren. Two daughters are nurses, one is a first-grade teacher and one is a Marine corporal who served in Afghanistan.
I am an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow. I served as scoutmaster a total of 10 years during two stints. I have been a ham radio operator since 1973. While in college I was a mountain camp staff member one summer at Philmont Scout Ranch and Explorer Base (Cimarron, N.M.) and was a ranger the next summer.
I am conservative politically. I strongly favor the U.S. Bill of Rights, including Second Amendment rights, and am pro-life.
I enjoy hiking, camping, bicycling, canoeing, kayaking, photography and contemporary Christian music.
