I hope I'm not nitpicking, but Henry VII is one of our best-known kings. The Wars of the Roses are a key part of the history curriculum in state schools, I believe - and every child knows how to remember the colours of the rainbow: Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain. Some of the people in my class forgot who was prime minister in WW2, and when WW2 even ended. One of them was doing history as a qualification. I rest my case.

I changed the part where it said that the monarchy remained permanently "french". Even if the joining between Stephen of Blois and Empress Matilda is seen as "French", the glorious rebellion changes the monarchy entirely to being English. [[User:StevenH|StevenH]] 18:14, 3 September 2011 (EDT)
