HTML element aren't just for presentation; HTML elements are semantic values. Tables are only meant to be used to create something with rows and columns ''and'' to represent a table as well. The div element is meant to meant to create a represent blocks. The simplified MediaWiki syntax for tables is meant to replace table-relate elements, not the div element. In addition, HTML is a markup language, not a computer language. I don't to a software developer in order to understand it.
