The main difference is the concept of love. In Christianity, love is elevated other things such as faith and good works alone. Even going as far to say that God is love, as this characteristic sums up His essence. In Christianity Jesus is the example of leading a selfless life, sacrificing his life for others. Although we believe 'God is on our side', we have respect for other faiths and don't necessarily think outside of the Church there is no salvation. A common view is that those who are ignorant of our religion but who are disposed to obey God and lead an honest upright life may be saved. You would expect a merciful God, who clearly sees the thoughts and heart of each person, to show mercy to those who are ignorant of Christ through no fault of their own. i.e. a person who has never read the Gospel. The biggest problem I think we face is people here who consciously reject the truth. Adam
